Road to Success Scholarship Program Official Rules
Eligibility requirements
A high school senior eligible for the $1,000 Road to Success scholarship:
- Is currently insured through a private passenger auto policy with Grinnell Mutual, Grinnell Select, or Grinnell Compass
- Maintains a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
- Has a clean driving record (no accidents or violations)
- Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the fall of 2024 as a full-time student
- Is not a dependent of any Grinnell Mutual employee or company board member
Application requirements
The application period for 2024 is closed.
We will begin accepting applications Jan. 1, 2025. All applications must be submitted online to Grinnell Mutual by March 15, 2025.

A student must be a Grinnell Mutual customer when the scholarship is awarded. If the auto policy is canceled prior to this time for any reason, the scholarship is void and another recipient may be chosen.
Award presentation
All scholarship recipients are randomly selected from qualified applicants. The selection decision will be final. Recipients will be notified by either their agent or a representative from Grinnell Mutual. A listing of all recipients will be available by May 15, 2024, at www.grinnellmutual.com.
