Jeff Vogts, Vice President of Talent Development

Jeff Vogts joined Grinnell Mutual as the vice president of talent development in April of 2016. The Talent Development division includes the Business Excellence, Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, and Training and Education departments. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and a master’s degree in Human Resources and Employment Relations from Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania. 

In addition to his years of talent development experience, Vogts also has numerous human resource-related designations including SPHR, SHRM-SCP, GBA, CMS, and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. 

He is involved as an active member of the SHRM executive network HR People+ Strategy, Penn State School of Labor and Employment Relations advisory board, a member of the Iowa Senior Human Resources Association, and a member of the Iowa City Human Resources Roundtable.
